Postdoctoral researcher – Information Systems & AI

About the role

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to advance the FINATRAX Research Group’s work at the University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust. The position focuses on the intersection of information systems and artificial intelligence, aiming to develop and evaluate AI‑enabled information systems for both private and public sector challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research on AI‑based information systems, including design knowledge, human‑AI collaboration and AI‑enabled insight generation.
• Design, prototype and implement AI‑driven information system solutions.
• Evaluate the organisational and societal impacts of AI‑based systems using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Apply AI as a research method for theory construction in information systems.
• Prepare research proposals to attract industry partnerships and European grant funding.
• Manage research projects and deliverables in collaboration with industry partners.
• Disseminate findings through high‑impact scientific publications.
• Engage with governmental stakeholders such as ministries, regulators and start‑up incubators.
• Mentor and supervise PhD students in their research activities.
