Postdoctoral researcher in Peacebuilding and Shared Holy Places

About the role

The University of Luxembourg seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the Horizon Europe project RE‑SPHERE, investigating the socioeconomic impact of Shared Holy Places on peacebuilding, social cohesion and sustainable recovery in post‑conflict regions.

Key responsibilities

• Support empirical research on the socioeconomic effects of Shared Holy Places.
• Collect, manage and analyse socioeconomic and geo‑referenced datasets using quantitative and econometric methods.
• Conduct longitudinal survey analysis, policy evaluation and prepare project deliverables.

Required profile

• PhD in Economics, preferably with a focus on Political Economy.
• Strong interest in labour, public economics, migration, education, gender, regional development or related socio‑economic issues.
• Proven ability to conduct independent post‑doctoral level research and collaborate within a team.
• Experience presenting at academic conferences and/or publishing in peer‑reviewed outlets.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
