Nutanix Engineer & Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver Break & Fix support on an on‑call freelance basis across Luxembourg. The role involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting of hardware, network and virtualization incidents while maintaining high customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP and routing problems.
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90% pass score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python (advantageous).
