Network and Automation Engineer

About the role

You will ensure the stability, security and high‑performance of the F5 VELOS platform. The position combines day‑to‑day service operations with automation, infrastructure‑as‑code and cross‑team collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain platform availability, resolve incidents within SLA and support on‑call rotations.
• Administer F5 VELOS chassis, BIG‑IP tenants, load‑balancing, clustering and HA configurations.
• Perform upgrades, backups, restores and compliance checks.
• Develop and improve automation using Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, REST APIs, YAML/JSON.
• Keep infrastructure data accurate in NetBox and drive IaC adoption.
• Monitor system health, capacity and alert quality; refine dashboards.
• Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks and automation documentation in GitLab.
• Collaborate with operations, architects, developers, security and compliance teams; coach Level 1 support.

Required profile

• 5+ years managing enterprise load‑balancing platforms.
• 2+ years with F5 VELOS or modern BIG‑IP.
• Proven automation experience, especially with Ansible.
• Experience in mission‑critical, Agile and ITIL environments.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset, clear communication and ability to work under pressure.
