Mechanical Designer – Molds (Product Development)

About the role

Join Husky Technologies' Development Engineering Team in Luxembourg and contribute to the design of beverage packaging tooling. After an initial training period at the European headquarters, you will work on high‑performance, reliable mold designs that meet cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate design concepts and produce a design selection matrix based on the scope of work.
• Execute detailed CAD designs and system‑level designs following company standards.
• Create design documentation, validation plans, and support testing activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including manufacturing, service, test, and validation groups.
• Develop and maintain complex project plans with milestones and timelines, and communicate status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design for molds or similar environments (advantageous).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Good project and time‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD applications.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience with virtual simulation tools (advantageous).
• Ability to calculate design parameters and perform validation.
