Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a high‑tech company based in Mamer, Luxembourg. The role focuses on the development of mechanical satellite systems, supporting all engineering activities and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Generate mechanical designs, CAD models and fabrication drawings.
• Specify and select machine components, including material selection and surface treatments.
• Create production documents and support documentation for testing of parts and assemblies.
• Provide expertise to all engineering disciplines and ensure efficient information flow.
• Contribute development ideas, document new technologies and support verification processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong team spirit and ability to work in an English‑speaking environment.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of mechanical design and machine components.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault (CAD/PDM tools).
• Experience with material selection and surface treatments.
• Familiarity with relevant standards such as FKM, VDI2230 and Eurocodes.
• Good command of MS Office and internet tools.
