Mechanic – Production Shop (Various Specialties)

About the role

We are looking for motivated mechanics to join Cargolux’s production shops, where specialised teams maintain and repair aircraft systems and components. Positions are available across several shops such as Avionics, Cargo Loading, Composite & Paint, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, NDT, Engine, Sheet Metal, and Wheel & Brake.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and overhauls of avionics and electrical components.
• Maintain cargo loading systems and interior components.
• Execute composite repairs and paint aircraft parts.
• Repair, overhaul and test hydraulic and pneumatic valves and actuators.
• Conduct non‑destructive testing (eddy current, ultrasonic, penetrant) on aircraft structures.
• Service jet engines and prepare them for installation or shipment.
• Repair or replace damaged sheet‑metal structural parts.
• Replace aircraft tyres and overhaul wheel rims and brakes.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (e.g., CATP, DAP) or equivalent education.
• Interest and initial experience in at least one of the listed shop areas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to take responsibility.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Certificate of good conduct and a valid medical fitness certificate upon hiring.
• Eligibility for safety‑sensitive personnel testing under EU Regulation 965/2012.
