Material Planner (Prototype Production)

About the role

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a dynamic Material Planner to support prototype production at its Luxembourg Technical Center in Hautcharage. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and controlling material flow to ensure timely prototype builds and shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Review new prototype build requests and determine material requirements.
• Coordinate ship schedules and material flow according to prototype needs.
• Maintain the “Plan For Every Part” (PFEP) file and lead weekly PFEP review meetings.
• Support Prototype Purchasing in sourcing, inventory checks, and validation activities.
• Execute material planning steps using the Prototype Procurement System and SAP (master data, BOM creation, demand management, PR creation).
• Monitor supply base, track deliveries, and proactively manage material expirations.
• Escalate shortages, risks, or delays to protect the build schedule.
• Collaborate with Material Coordinators to ensure material readiness and pull materials for authorized builds.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, track consumption, and generate material reports.
• Coordinate optimal transportation flow, support stock‑taking, and communicate shipping documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in logistics and/or purchasing.
• Strong attention to detail and strategic logistics thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Positive, proactive, team‑oriented, and safety‑focused attitude.
