Manager, Financial Crime & Fraud – AMLA Oversight

About the role

PayPal is seeking a Manager to lead its Financial Crime and Fraud initiatives with a focus on AMLA oversight. In this role you will help safeguard the global payments network by identifying risk, shaping best‑practice policies and guiding cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify emerging issues and recommend best practices for risk management across the organization.
• Lead functional projects and programs that enhance risk assessment, mitigation and AML compliance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and operations teams to analyse business trends and their impact on financial crime risk.
• Drive process improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of risk‑management strategies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members executing risk‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial crime, fraud prevention or AML compliance within a large, technology‑driven organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable risk controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and influence senior leadership.
