IT Operations Administrator – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Hootsuite is seeking an IT Operations Administrator to own core IT support processes for its global workforce. You will act as an escalation point on the service desk, manage key platforms, and help operationalize the company’s AI transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex Helpdesk tickets and own service‑quality outcomes for a defined queue.
• Build, configure, and deploy hardware, focusing on complex and project‑based endpoint work.
• Administer core platforms such as identity/SSO, endpoint management, and IT service tooling.
• Support AI tools while applying data‑handling and governance standards.
• Manage identity lifecycle (joiner, mover, leaver) and access across connected systems.
• Create and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Mentor junior staff, document procedures, and contribute to knowledge bases.
• Participate in incident handling, on‑call rotation, and ITIL‑aligned process improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in IT operations, endpoint, or systems administration, preferably in a SaaS or distributed environment.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management (e.g., Okta) and endpoint management tools (Jamf Pro, Intune).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace administration.
• Demonstrated depth in at least one area (identity, endpoint, or service management) and a desire to deepen expertise.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation (Shell, Python, PowerShell) and ITIL or structured service‑management practices.
• Experience working in an agile environment; relevant certifications (ACMT, Jamf) are a plus.
