IT Network Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Internship

About the role

ING Luxembourg is looking for a motivated student to join its Tech Security & Infrastructure Department for a 6‑month internship starting August 2026. You will work with experienced engineers and architects on enterprise network technologies, cybersecurity controls, and infrastructure automation in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity services.
• Assist with administration of firewalls, VPNs, switches and load balancers.
• Participate in vulnerability management, security monitoring, access management and compliance reviews.
• Support cloud, hybrid and on‑premises infrastructure projects.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, procedures and inventories.
• Help analyse and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance analysis and infrastructure optimisation.
• Take part in testing, validation and deployment of infrastructure changes.
• Develop dashboards, reports and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external providers to ensure service continuity and security.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university or higher‑education institution.
• Able to provide a valid internship agreement (school convention).
• Strong interest in IT networking, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
