Investment Risk Analyst – Luxembourg

About the role

Join a well‑established financial services firm in Luxembourg as an Investment Risk Analyst. You will work alongside seasoned professionals to analyse, monitor and report investment risks across a broad spectrum of asset classes, supporting the continuous improvement of risk frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and report market, liquidity, operational, valuation, credit and counter‑party risks.
• Participate in risk oversight for alternative investments and private‑market assets.
• Prepare risk analyses and reports for internal stakeholders and regulators.
• Assess portfolios against risk limits, investment guidelines and risk profiles.
• Support transaction reviews and provide risk input on investment opportunities.
• Assist in developing and enhancing risk‑management tools, methodologies and reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to quantitative and qualitative risk‑modelling projects.
• Perform counter‑party assessments and due‑diligence reviews.
• Monitor regulatory developments and help update internal policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in risk management within financial services, asset management, consulting, audit or a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine interest in investment management, financial markets and risk analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Programming or database skills such as Python, VBA or SQL.
• Knowledge of risk‑management systems and tools (considered an advantage).
