International Corporate Banking Relationship Manager - Europe

About the role

Barclays is looking for an International Corporate Banking Relationship Manager for its Europe desk, based in Luxembourg. The role sits in Relationship Management and aims to establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients, acting as the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs. The position is listed as Assistant Vice President and is eligible for an incentive award.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, identify clients' financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance, and analyse data from investment portfolios and cash flows to spot trends and opportunities.
• Research industry trends, the regulatory landscape and the competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
• Design customised solutions drawing on the bank's product portfolio and negotiate terms that benefit both client and bank.
• Advise clients on investment, risk management and wealth management, and keep them informed on market trends.
• Assess financial, legal and operational risks and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
• Document client interactions, transactions and agreements, and monitor satisfaction and revenue metrics.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics.
• Local control and governance knowledge.
• Track record of delivering results through effective relationship building.
• Experience in client service and communication, and experience onboarding clients and KYC.
• Understanding of the sector, products and associated risks.
• Fluency in French or German is desirable.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Desirable: knowledge of the corporate banking product suite (payments, liquidity, FX, lending, trade and working capital).
• Desirable: knowledge of control environment and AML risk, and of credit risk analysis, processes and policies.

The role is a Controlled Function under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require mandatory regulatory qualifications. The minimum salary is EUR 65,000, and the position is eligible for an incentive award.
