Internal Consultant – AIFM (Valuation & Risk)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading alternative investment platform in Luxembourg to hire an Internal Consultant for a newly established, fast‑growing programme. The permanent role starts in Valuation and Risk Management and offers the chance to rotate across fund finance oversight and operations, providing broad exposure to the full lifecycle of alternative investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Review investment valuation materials, including internal analyses and third‑party reports.
• Support valuation of fund investments across multiple asset classes and analyse key assumptions and methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders on valuation matters and prepare reporting for senior management.
• Assist in identifying, assessing and monitoring risks across investment funds, draft and update fund risk profiles.
• Monitor compliance with investment restrictions, support pre‑deal reviews and contribute to regulatory reporting (e.g., AIFMD Annex IV).
• Prepare materials for senior management and governance bodies, and support improvements to internal frameworks, policies and processes.
• Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives and rotate across functions such as Risk, Valuation, Finance Oversight and Operations.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in valuation, risk management, audit (financial services/alternatives), fund administration or an AIFM environment.
• Exposure to alternative investments (private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private debt) is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work across multiple functions.
• Proactive, curious and solutions‑oriented with the capacity to manage several priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
