Internal Auditor – Banking & Finance

About the role

Join the Internal Audit team at Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services and Banking (Luxembourg) S.A. (MIBL) as an Internal Auditor. You will work closely with the Chief Internal Auditor to assess risks, develop audit plans and ensure high‑quality audit execution across the bank’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in documenting risk assessments of the audit universe.
• Help develop and implement the multi‑year audit plan.
• Participate in audit missions, creating specific audit programs that follow internal audit standards.
• Conduct field work, prepare working papers and draft audit findings and recommendations.
• Prepare internal audit reports under supervision and communicate results to auditees.
• Monitor follow‑up of open recommendations and contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes.
• Support the periodic External Quality Assurance review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business administration or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, compliance or risk management within the banking sector in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment and audit techniques.
• Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate team spirit and accountability within a small team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Good understanding of bank computer systems and information security aspects.
• Solid audit technique knowledge.
