Information Technology Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an IT Internal Auditor to join the internal audit team of a leading financial institution in Luxembourg. You will lead audit missions focused on information technology and information security, providing assurance on risk controls and supporting business audits as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Identify risks linked to the organisation’s information systems and ensure mitigation measures are in place.
• Perform independent audits on IT projects, applications, and information systems security.
• Analyse audited processes, draft audit reports and follow‑up on recommendations.
• Provide IT support for the preparation and execution of audit missions across all activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT; additional degree in Information Systems Audit is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken French and English; German or Luxembourgish is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, synthesis and communication skills, with ability to interact with top management.

Required skills

• CISA certification (strong asset).
• Knowledge of internal audit methodology and best practices in IT.
• Understanding of IT processes, risks and information security.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as cloud computing, virtual currencies, artificial intelligence and open banking.
