Head of Settlement Product – Director Level

About the role

We are looking for a visionary leader to head the settlement product portfolio at Clearstream, part of Deutsche Börse Group. The role is responsible for shaping strategy, driving development and ensuring the offering meets regulatory and market demands while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the settlement product strategy aligned with Clearstream Securities’ business objectives.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle, from feasibility studies and market analysis to design, launch and go‑to‑market execution.
• Represent Clearstream in industry forums, trade associations and market initiatives to influence standards and practices.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team of settlement product specialists.
• Engage intensively with customers, partners and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor regulatory changes, market trends and emerging technologies to keep the product suite compliant and competitive.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• At least 10 years of product management experience in financial services, including 5 years in people‑management roles.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of motivating high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills with a client‑centric mindset.
• Deep knowledge of securities services, post‑trade settlement processes, market infrastructures and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience leading cross‑industry working groups on settlement topics.
• Fluent English; French and/or German are strong assets.
