Head of Private Banking (F/M) – Luxembourg

About the role

The client, a well‑established banking group headquartered in Luxembourg, is seeking a senior leader to drive the next phase of its Wealth Management/Private Banking business. Reporting to the local CEO and working closely with the Global Head of Private Banking, the role sits on the Executive Committee and carries full strategic and operational responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Private Banking strategy aligned with the Group’s European growth ambitions.
• Lead, inspire and develop a team of 50+ professionals, including around 20 Private Bankers.
• Strengthen advisory‑driven offerings, focusing on investment advisory, wealth structuring, mortgage and lending solutions.
• Drive cross‑border business development across selected European markets.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management and regulatory compliance in a complex cross‑border environment.
• Foster collaboration with the Corporate & Investment Banking division.

Required profile

• Proven experience as Head of Private Banking or equivalent senior leadership role in Luxembourg.
• Deep understanding of cross‑border wealth management, especially in French and Belgian markets.
• Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
• Recognised leadership skills managing sizeable teams.
• Ability to operate at Executive Committee level and contribute to overall bank strategy.
• Fluency in French and English; additional language is a strong asset.
