Head of Luxembourg Depositary Account Management

About the role

The Head of Luxembourg Depositary Account Management leads the UK & European Trustee & Fiduciary Account Management team, ensuring high‑quality depositary services for fund clients while safeguarding investor interests and Citi’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Fiduciary Account Managers, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.
• Maintain up‑to‑date regulatory knowledge (UCITS, AIFMD, etc.) for the team.
• Serve as senior contact for daily depositary service delivery to clients.
• Oversee Fund Administrators, Managers and Transfer Agents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with offshore service providers through regular calls and on‑site reviews.
• Ensure consistent UK & European service and product offering, developing new solutions as needed.
• Provide board‑level reporting and resolve client issues with internal and external teams.
• Monitor service level commitments, escalating and tracking issues to resolution.
• Support new business implementation and engage in projects as directed by senior leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in fiduciary, compliance or financial services.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial instruments, investment strategies and European fund regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Relevant funds‑industry qualifications.
