Head of Investment Risk

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global asset manager to strengthen its Luxembourg team. The Head of Investment Risk will lead the oversight of private markets and private credit strategies, ensuring robust risk management across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Private Markets and Private Credit strategies.
• Monitor portfolio, liquidity, leverage and counter‑party risks.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis and produce risk reports.
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Provide regulatory oversight in line with CSSF, AIFMD and SFDR frameworks.
• Enhance risk frameworks, dashboards and analytics tools.

Required profile

• Strong investment risk experience within asset management or alternatives.
• Exposure to private markets and private credit.
• Proven experience partnering with Portfolio Managers.
• Solid knowledge of liquidity risk, stress testing and portfolio analytics.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg regulatory frameworks.
• Technical exposure to Python, SQL or R is advantageous.
