Head of Financial Crime & AML Compliance

About the role

Worldline is looking for a senior professional to lead its financial crime function. The Head of Financial Crime / AMLCO will act as the subject‑matter expert on anti‑money‑laundering, counter‑terrorist financing, sanctions and anti‑bribery matters, guiding senior management and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the financial crime risk assessment framework in line with regulatory expectations and Group standards.
• Provide strategic guidance on AML/CTF, sanctions and related topics to senior management, business units and project teams.
• Monitor national and international regulatory developments (CSSF circulars, EBA guidelines, FATF recommendations, EU directives) and lead the implementation of required changes.
• Develop, review and validate financial crime policies, procedures and controls to ensure full compliance with local laws and Group requirements.
• Lead complex investigations of suspicious activities, oversee escalation to the EU AMLCO and manage high‑risk cases.
• Mentor, coach and supervise junior financial crime team members, reviewing their work and supporting their development.
• Drive strategic projects such as AML transaction‑monitoring tool implementation, KYC framework enhancement, sanctions‑screening optimisation and customer‑risk rating model development.
• Design and deliver training programmes on financial‑crime topics for staff at all levels, including the Board.
• Produce and present management reporting and KPIs to the Chief Compliance Officer, senior management and relevant committees.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial‑crime compliance, preferably in a senior AML/CTF role.
• Proven ability to engage with regulators, auditors and senior executives.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
