Head of Finance

About the role

A leading international financial institution is looking for an experienced Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations and regulatory reporting activities. Reporting directly to senior executive management, this role ensures financial integrity, compliance and operational excellence across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function, including general ledger management, financial statements and reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, expense management and cost‑control processes.
• Manage corporate and indirect tax obligations.
• Supervise procurement and third‑party vendor governance, including risk management and contract oversight.
• Ensure timely and accurate production of regulatory, financial, statistical and group reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust, auditable and scalable reporting processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance and regulatory reporting professionals.
• Advise executive management and board‑level stakeholders on financial and regulatory matters.
• Support strategic projects, system enhancements and organisational changes driven by evolving regulations.
• Manage internal and external audits related to finance and reporting functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of senior finance, accounting or audit leadership experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong experience with regulatory reporting and financial controls.
• Proven track record of managing and developing multifunctional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication; additional European language skills are a plus.
