Junior External Auditor (Level 1)

About the role

ATWELL is seeking a Junior External Auditor (Level 1) to join its audit team in Hesperange. The role is full‑time and on‑site, supporting audit engagements from planning through completion for a variety of clients. You will work under the supervision of senior auditors and receive coaching to develop your professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork and finalisation.
• Test financial controls, review accounting records and document audit procedures.
• Prepare clear working papers in line with professional standards.
• Assist in drafting audit reports and support due‑diligence or valuation assignments when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and external audit processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication in English and French; German or Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with office and audit‑related software, mainly Excel.
• High integrity, professional ethics and willingness to pursue chartered accountant or statutory auditor qualifications.
