Group Chief Technician – Material Reception

About the role

The Group Chief Technician – Material Reception is responsible for overseeing material handling, warehousing, and transportation operations within the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The role ensures safe and efficient loading/unloading of semi‑bulk and bulk items while coordinating internal projects with senior management, customs authorities, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material reception, handling, and warehousing activities.
• Coordinate internal projects with senior management, customs, internal stakeholders and contractors.
• Supervise loading and unloading operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate MHE such as warehouse tractors and forklift trucks.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP and monitor performance metrics.
• Lead low‑level staff, fostering teamwork and effective problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Complete secondary education or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in material handling/warehousing, typically as a Senior Clerk.
• Strong coordination and organisational abilities.
• Good health and physical capability for handling bulk items.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Working knowledge of both English and French.
