GNC Engineer

About the role

Darwin Space is seeking a motivated GNC Engineer to join its Luxembourg team. You will be responsible for designing, testing and validating control systems that enable precise pointing, acquisition and tracking for space missions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and validate control algorithms for guidance, navigation and control (GNC) applications.
• Perform system modelling, identification and laboratory characterisation of hardware and software components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams to integrate and verify solutions.
• Produce and review high‑quality technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in GNC engineering.
• Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Space Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with lab‑based system identification and product development from design through validation.
• Background on space projects or multi‑disciplinary systems and familiarity with embedded or real‑time control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment and work well with colleagues.
• Citizenship of an EU and NATO member state.
