Funds Of Counsel – Senior Legal Role in Luxembourg

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a senior Funds Of Counsel to join its Luxembourg office. This senior legal position within the Funds practice group offers the opportunity to advise domestic and international clients on fund formation, regulatory compliance and restructuring of investment vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on Luxembourg fund formation and ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Assist with restructuring of Luxembourg investment vehicles.
• Manage a portfolio of domestic and international clients.
• Engage in business development and cross‑selling activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, sharing knowledge within the team.
• Liaise with colleagues in other offices, Luxembourg authorities and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of post‑qualification experience in funds law.
• Admission to the Luxembourg Bar or eligibility for List IV registration.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Strong commercial focus and excellent drafting, analytical and communication abilities.
