Fund Legal Trainee (6‑month Internship)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Fund Legal Trainee to join our Fund Legal Department for a six‑month internship. You will support the team handling corporate secretarial duties, regulatory research and legal documentation for Cayman‑Island‑based investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organising board of directors meetings for two Cayman Island trustee companies and maintaining related minutes.
• Maintain policies, procedures and internal control activities, and conduct regulatory research.
• Answer routine queries from internal departments and validate law‑firm invoices.
• Prepare and file legal documents throughout the lifecycle of investment funds and keep the fund list up‑to‑date.
• Support the team lead with task allocation, project tracking and fund project control sheets.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
• Good understanding of basic legal principles and contract law; knowledge of common law is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Flexibility to work in an international, multicultural environment and a collaborative team spirit.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to conduct legal research and draft basic legal documents.
