Fund Legal Trainee (6-month Internship)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Fund Legal Trainee to join our Fund Legal Department for a six‑month internship. The role supports corporate secretarial and legal activities related to Cayman‑Island‑domiciled investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in corporate secretary tasks, including organising board meetings for two Cayman trustee companies and maintaining policies and procedures.
• Conduct regulatory research and support internal control activities.
• Answer routine queries from internal departments and validate law‑firm invoices.
• Prepare and file legal documents throughout the lifecycle of investment funds and keep the internal document repository up to date.
• Support project and team management by updating task allocation matrices and fund project control sheets.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Law.
• Basic understanding of legal principles and contract law; knowledge of common law is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Flexibility to work in an international, multicultural environment and a collaborative team spirit.
