Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Wingos AI‑powered educational technology project at SnT, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg. You will work on a real‑world product used in multilingual classrooms, turning research ideas into reliable, production‑grade software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship features across the entire stack – from UI to API to database.
• Transform research concepts and product requirements into clean, well‑tested code.
• Build intuitive, accessible interfaces for teachers and students.
• Integrate LLM‑based services where they add value.
• Own performance, reliability, and security as the platform scales.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and related DevOps tooling.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from scoping to release.
• Contribute to technical documentation, grant proposals, and publications.
• Collaborate directly with pilot schools and partners to gather feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Next.js).
• Solid server‑side experience with Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI).
• Good working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD).
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish is a plus.
