Forensic & AML Consulting Trainee

About the role

KPMG Luxembourg is looking for a motivated Consulting Trainee to join its Forensic & AML services team. You will gain hands‑on experience in anti‑money‑laundering (AML), counter‑terrorist financing (CTF), KYC remediation and financial crime risk management while supporting client‑facing consulting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of AML/CTF projects, both audit‑support and advisory assignments.
• Review, design and implement financial crime programs, procedures and controls for clients.
• Identify and assess AML/CTF risks and develop risk‑based approaches.
• Participate in AML/KYC remediation exercises and risk‑matrix development.
• Work with clients across banking, asset management and insurance sectors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary KPMG teams to provide integrated solutions.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Law or a related field.
• Final‑year student eligible for a full‑time internship with an internship agreement.
• Previous experience in a similar regulatory or financial‑crime environment is a plus.
• Flexible attitude, willingness to learn regulatory best practices, and proactive mindset.
