Financial Business Advisor – Associate

About the role

Join EY as an Associate Financial Business Advisor and help shape financial strategies that drive revenue, margin, and inventory performance for our clients. You will work closely with partners and managers, using data‑driven insights to support decision‑making and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice on revenue recognition, margin improvement and inventory management.
• Perform weekly inventory position reviews with partners and managers.
• Review aged unbilled inventory and recommend risk‑mitigation actions.
• Leverage reporting tools to identify risks and support strategy implementation.
• Monitor KPI controls, focusing on margin improvement and abnormal engagements.
• Review engagement budgets and flag deviations.
• Execute billing controls and follow‑up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, thresholds and procedures.
• Act as a reference point for client‑serving teams, offering guidance and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management.
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
• Comfortable thriving in a fast‑changing, hands‑on environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel proficiency (filters, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
