Finance Controller Internship – Investment Management

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Controller Trainee for a 6‑month internship starting July 2026 (or mid‑June) at ING Solutions Investment Management (ISIM) in Luxembourg. The role offers hands‑on exposure to the finance function of a “Super ManCo” managing UCITS and AIF funds across the ING Group.

Key responsibilities

• Review fund invoices from central administrations and custodian banks.
• Validate fund expenses and calculate ongoing charges.
• Coordinate invoice processing for ISIM and its managed funds.
• Monitor the invoicing mailbox and perform day‑to‑day payment reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of draft yearly financial statements, quarterly regulatory reports and other fund reporting.
• Support the creation of board‑meeting slide decks for ISIM and its funds.
• Participate in periodic meetings with delegates and provide ad‑hoc operational support.

Required profile

• Current studies in Economics or Finance.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexible, eager to learn and comfortable working in a team.
