Experienced Personal Tax Lawyer or Advisor

About the role

Arendt & Medernach is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Lawyer or Advisor to join its Luxembourg team. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, senior executives, families and family offices, providing specialist advice on private wealth, personal tax and cross‑border mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal and tax research and analyse issues affecting private clients, executives and family‑owned businesses.
• Advise on private‑wealth structuring, estate and succession planning, and wealth‑transfer matters.
• Design and implement executive compensation and incentive arrangements, including equity, deferred compensation, pension schemes and profit‑sharing plans.
• Provide tax advice to internationally mobile individuals, expatriates and cross‑border employees.
• Draft legal opinions, memoranda and other documentation related to private wealth, executive compensation and personal tax.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls, delivering practical, tailored solutions.
• Monitor legal and tax developments relevant to private clients and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law specialised in Tax; LL.M. from an English‑speaking country is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Personal Tax in Luxembourg.
• Fluent in English and French; German is an asset.
• Strong analytical rigor and excellent listening skills.
• Open‑minded, dynamic, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
