Electrical Systems Engineer – Spacecraft Avionics

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to act as the technical architect for spacecraft avionics. Based in Luxembourg with a hybrid work model, you will shape the electrical architecture from concept through launch and in‑orbit operations for cutting‑edge missions supporting agencies such as ESA.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex electrical system architectures for next‑generation spacecraft.
• Serve as the central technical liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, and high‑profile customers.
• Lead requirements engineering, spacecraft budgeting, and parametric modeling activities.
• Define and execute validation, verification, and test plans (AIV/T) to ensure mission readiness.
• Author RFPs and manage technical relationships with external vendors for critical avionics units.
• Contribute to in‑house electronics design, focusing on future‑proof power systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the space industry, specifically in avionics, data handling, or power electronics.
• Proven track record of participating in formal reviews (PDR, CDR) and delivering space‑qualified hardware.
• Degree in Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or Physics with strong system‑level interface knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary environments and manage multiple technical workstreams.
