Electrical Engineer – Ironmaking & Green Steel Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our EIC department and work in an agile, interdisciplinary team on worldwide projects for the iron‑making industry and green steel technologies. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from offer preparation to on‑site commissioning and customer training.

Key responsibilities

• Handle technical projects from the offer stage through to completion.
• Design electric and hydraulic control systems for blast furnace equipment.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and discussions with customers.
• Follow up equipment manufacturing with suppliers, conduct quality control and acceptance tests at supplier sites.
• Collaborate across engineering and other departments.
• Provide on‑site support during equipment commissioning and train operating personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience (single line diagrams, automation layout, supplier specifications, instrumentation).
• Proven ability in offer creation and project execution up to on‑site commissioning.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solution‑oriented, pragmatic approach focused on customer needs.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide.
• Fluency in English and German; French is an advantage.
