Director, Executive Rewards

About the role

The Director, Executive Rewards leads the design, governance, implementation and continuous improvement of SES's executive compensation programmes worldwide. Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, the role advises senior HR leaders, the Remuneration Committee and the Board on strategy, risk and market competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine executive remuneration strategies aligned with business objectives and talent priorities.
• Design short‑term and long‑term incentive plans for senior leadership and ensure they remain competitive.
• Analyse market trends, peer practices and regulatory developments to maintain external competitiveness and internal equity.
• Prepare executive compensation analyses, reports and presentations for Board and Committee meetings.
• Provide independent insights on remuneration risk, governance considerations and shareholder expectations.
• Coordinate external compensation consultants and ensure robust governance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, tax and disclosure requirements across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in executive compensation design and governance.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership, board members and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Track record of managing complex, global compensation projects.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of executive compensation structures and incentive plan design.
• Familiarity with regulatory and corporate governance requirements for remuneration.
• Expertise in compensation analytics and benchmarking.
• Experience managing external compensation consultants.
