Country Head – Luxembourg (Senior Vice President)

About the role

This senior country leadership position is responsible for driving State Street’s growth and governance in Luxembourg. The Country Head will unite business lines, corporate functions and local leadership around a unified "One State Street" strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Luxembourg branch in line with legal entity, corporate governance, regulatory and internal control expectations.
• Lead a Country Leadership Team to design and execute an enterprise‑wide growth strategy.
• Drive the Investment Services and Client Coverage strategy, aligning local priorities with regional and global objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, management companies, investment funds and other market stakeholders.
• Own the delivery of State Street services in Luxembourg, overseeing client projects, remediation, new business acquisition and onboarding.
• Champion talent decisions, succession planning and inclusive development across the country.
• Promote a culture of risk, control and governance excellence and share best practices.
• Lead regulatory engagement, oversee remediation plans and act as the senior spokesperson for State Street in the local business community.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience within banking or financial services, preferably at a country or regional level.
• Deep understanding of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment and strong relationships with regulators.
• Track record of building and leading high‑performing teams and driving talent development.
• Ability to align multiple business lines and corporate functions around a common strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with clients, industry bodies and internal partners.
