Corporate & Commercial Counsel – In‑House Legal

About the role

Alter Domus is seeking a Corporate and Commercial Counsel to join its global Legal team. The role will support the Commercial & Client Services function across EMEA civil‑law jurisdictions, providing legal advice on regulatory, corporate, and contract matters.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for business units in EMEA civil‑law jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and update a range of legal documents, including services agreements, intra‑group contracts, outsourcing agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the firm’s service offering and advise on compliance.
• Support senior management and internal functions as a trusted legal advisor.
• Lead negotiations on complex services agreements and commercial contracts with strategic clients and suppliers.
• Assist with corporate transactions, manage external counsel, and provide guidance on corporate governance.
• Conduct legal research and deliver actionable recommendations to decision‑makers.

Required profile

• University degree in law with postgraduate studies in corporate or commercial law.
• 2–4 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably in‑house within an international environment.
• Strong background in corporate and commercial law, with experience in the financial services sector and its regulatory framework.
