Cloud Engineer

About the role

Experis Luxembourg is looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, implement and manage scalable cloud solutions. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure high performance, availability and security of cloud‑based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimise performance and ensure application availability.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and management of cloud resources.
• Implement security best practices and monitor threats to protect data and systems.
• Develop backup and disaster‑recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Participate in cost analysis and optimise cloud resource usage.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, scalability, and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Architect or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
• Deep knowledge of containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware) – a VMware Service Provider background is a plus.
• Strong expertise in Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of SAN/NAS storage technologies.
• Automation skills using tools such as Terraform, Ansible or equivalents.
• Solid understanding of cloud security concepts and best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect).
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
