Client Accountant – Luxembourg (Hybrid)

About the role

Maples Group is looking for a Client Accountant to join its Luxembourg team. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while supporting a portfolio of accounting clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day accounting transactions and perform bank and broker reconciliations using Maples accounting systems.
• Prepare routine management accounts and assist in the preparation of complex financial statements in accordance with Lux GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable accounting principles.
• Maintain compliance with MaplesFS procedures and ensure all client files are up‑to‑date.
• Complete annual administration tasks for clients in line with internal policies and timelines.
• Liaise with auditors during audit planning and execution phases.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, responding promptly to their requests.
• Coordinate the provision of information required for CIT and VAT returns to internal or external tax advisors.

Required profile

• Ability to independently handle routine accounting mandates.
• Experience supporting senior accountants (SCAs, AVPs, VPs, SVPs) on complex mandates.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills for client and auditor interactions.
