Category Manager, Packaging – Global Procurement Operations

About the role

Amazon is looking for a seasoned Category Manager to lead packaging procurement within its Global Procurement Operations. You will shape sourcing strategies, partner with internal teams and key suppliers, and drive cost‑saving initiatives across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for packaging.
• Lead cross‑functional strategic sourcing teams and negotiate contracts.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize cost of ownership and mitigate risk.
• Provide market intelligence, identify strategic opportunities, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Track, report, and achieve yearly savings and value targets.
• Define and monitor key performance metrics for supplier performance and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven procurement or strategic sourcing experience, preferably in a large, global environment.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills, able to work independently and guide peers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Self‑starter with a creative, critical‑thinking mindset.
