Business Scientist Intern – Data & Strategy

About the role

As a Business Scientist Intern you will work at the crossroads of business strategy and data science, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive commercial performance across European markets. You will collaborate with experienced data professionals and business stakeholders on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep‑dive market analyses to uncover growth opportunities and competitive dynamics.
• Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting pipelines for KPIs such as subscriber acquisition, churn, ARPU and engagement.
• Develop and refine subscriber projection models and support budget‑planning cycles with scenario analyses.
• Design and test machine‑learning propensity models for upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Respond to ad‑hoc analytical requests and contribute to improving data infrastructure and tools.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (M1 or M2) in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong academic record with a genuine interest in business strategy and technical analytics.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluent in English; French is a strong plus.
• Intellectual curiosity, autonomy and a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Python or R for data analysis and machine learning (e.g., scikit‑learn, pandas, numpy).
• Data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) – a plus.
• Understanding of machine‑learning fundamentals: classification, regression, clustering, model evaluation.
