About the role
As an Associate Vice President in the Collateral, Lending & Liquidity Solutions (CLLS) Business Development team, you will drive new revenue streams by originating and converting opportunities across a broad suite of financial services. You will focus on sovereign and supranational institutions, helping them optimise balance‑sheet utilisation, funding and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Originate, develop and convert new business opportunities across securities lending, collateral management, repo, banking and FX solutions.
- Maintain ownership of the business‑development pipeline for the assigned segment, supporting forecasting and budgeting.
- Build and nurture relationships with decision‑makers at sovereign wealth funds, central banks, supranational institutions and other strategic market participants.
- Understand client investment strategies, reserve management objectives and funding requirements to tailor solutions.
- Expand the CLLS franchise through proactive prospecting, networking and relationship development.
- Identify and broker opportunities between lenders, borrowers, collateral providers and investors, facilitating new transaction flows.
- Collaborate with the Securities Lending Trading Desk to generate trade ideas and align client demand with market liquidity.
- Channel client demand and market intelligence to trading and product teams to create new lending, borrowing and financing opportunities.
- Represent Clearstream at industry conferences, client events and working groups, delivering presentations that position the firm as a trusted partner.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business development or sales within financial services, preferably with institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of collateral management, securities lending, repo and FX markets.
- Ability to build and maintain senior‑level relationships with sovereign and supranational institutions.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess client funding needs and balance‑sheet priorities.
- Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
