Business Consultant – Risk Modeling & ICAAP (DataIKU)

About the role

As a Business Consultant / Risk Modeling Analyst you will join the Risk Management department of a major financial institution in Luxembourg. You will support the modeling team by automating and enhancing the ICAAP production framework using Python and DataIKU.

Key responsibilities

• Understand business needs and the existing ICAAP production framework.
• Design and implement a robust functional architecture to optimise ICAAP processes.
• Develop calculation models and automated workflows in Python within the DataIKU environment.
• Enhance tools and workflows to improve efficiency, traceability and reliability.
• Produce technical documentation and ensure a complete audit trail.
• Implement controls, reconciliations and validation processes.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, IT and Data teams in an agile, transformation‑oriented setting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Risk Management, financial services consulting or banking.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Python development.
• DataIKU platform (strong asset).
• Knowledge of ICAAP, risk modelling and regulatory reporting.
• Data processing, automation and controls implementation.
• SQL and data architecture knowledge (plus).
