Business Analyst – Cash Settlement / Transfer Agency (Consultant)

About the role

Taleo Consulting is seeking a Business Analyst Consultant to specialise in cash settlement and transfer agency processes for fund subscriptions and redemptions. You will work within a Full Client Money Model, shaping end‑to‑end settlement flows and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and document cash settlement flows, including dual cutoff mechanisms and short‑fall funding.
• Define business rules for over 20 settlement scenarios such as DVP, FOP, partial settlement and failed trades.
• Map account structures (Distribution, Corporate, Client Money, Internal CM Reconciliation, Investor, Trustee).
• Specify requirements for three‑layer reconciliation (Bank, External, Internal) and T+1 client reporting.
• Design intraday cash monitoring using MT942/CAMT.052 messages.
• Create user stories, process flows, wireframes and data‑mapping documents to support UAT.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineering teams and external partners (custodians, banks, transfer agents).
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning and backlog refinement.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in cash settlement or transfer agency.
• Proven ability to work in agile environments and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to regulatory and reporting requirements.
