Accounting Trainee – Start September 2026

About the role

BDO Luxembourg is seeking an Accounting Trainee to join its finance team from September 2026. This end‑of‑study internship offers hands‑on experience in general accounting, tax filing and client service within a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist accountants in preparing full‑cycle general ledger entries and monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and VAT declarations.
• Deliver high‑quality service while building trustworthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in accounting or finance.
• Proactive, rigorous, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in French and English; Luxembourgish or German is a plus.
• Previous exposure to accounting tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas.
