Accountant – International Finance – Leudelange, Luxembourg

About the role

Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Luxembourg office in Leudelange. The role will support the accounting of several international subsidiaries, primarily in the Asia‑Pacific and LATAM regions, and will work closely with internal teams and external accounting firms.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily transactions for international operations and maintain up‑to‑date general ledger.
• Prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations, including corporate tax, VAT, withholding and GST filings.
• Process invoices, monitor payments and reconcile supplier statements.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Liaise with local external accounting firms to ensure alignment between local books and group reporting.
• Respond to audit requests and ensure statutory accounts are filed on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional accounting experience, preferably with international entities.
• Strong initiative, service‑mindset and ability to work independently.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Authorized to work in Luxembourg.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
