Accountant – Holding Company Specialist (Luxembourg)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our international client’s finance team located west of Luxembourg City. The role focuses on end‑to‑end accounting for holding‑company structures, ensuring compliance with Luxembourg GAAP and group policies while supporting a variety of finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities, guaranteeing compliance with Lux GAAP and internal group policies.
• Account for participations, including acquisitions, disposals, impairments and dividend income.
• Monitor and record intercompany financing, loans, accrued interest, FX impacts and debt restructuring.
• Manage capital transactions such as increases, reductions, share‑premium movements and equity restructuring.
• Prepare and follow up on internal controls based on audit findings.
• Produce accurate monthly group reporting and perform intercompany and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare local statutory and legal reports and support the annual financial statements.
• Assist with integration of new entities, setting up accounting structures aligned with holding activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Highly structured with strong organizational skills to meet monthly deadlines.
• Accurate, reliable and proactive with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Lux GAAP and group accounting policies.
• Experience with intercompany financing and FX impact handling.
• Familiarity with capital transaction accounting.
