Accountant (CDI) – Luxembourg

About the role

Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Luxembourg office. The role involves maintaining the books for several international subsidiaries and supporting various administrative functions within a fast‑growing, Tier‑1 ISP.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting transactions for subsidiaries in the Asia‑Pacific and LATAM regions.
• Prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations, ensuring the general ledger is up‑to‑date.
• Handle tax filings including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and GST.
• Book invoices, follow up payments and reconcile supplier statements.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Liaise with local external accounting firms and challenge their reporting to align with group standards.
• Respond to audit requests and ensure statutory accounts are filed on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional accounting experience, preferably with international entities.
• Strong initiative, service‑mindset and ability to work independently.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Authorized to work in Luxembourg.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Navision.
