Transaction Officer – Microfinance & Fintech (M/F/X)

About the role

Join a prestigious international financial institution in Luxembourg City as a Transaction Officer supporting micro‑finance, alternative lenders and fintech initiatives. You will work on thematic investments that drive social impact while operating in a multicultural, high‑visibility environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative transaction analysis, focusing on credit risk and policy objectives.
• Coordinate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Draft transaction requests, due‑diligence reports and support approval processes.
• Assist in negotiating guarantee transactions and finalising legal documentation.
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions and promote guarantee facilities through presentations and events.
• Support the development of new products and analyse data related to the thematic focus.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or financial consulting with client‑facing exposure.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional EU language is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
